Grief and Loss
Throughout life, we all experience some type of loss. When a person or something of importance is removed from our lives, we experience a natural response that is often referred to as ‘Grief’.
In fact, there are many types of losses that may result in the onset of grief. Examples include the loss of a loved one, losing a job, the death of a pet, the loss of a relationship, and many other situations.
When grieving, an individual may experience a wide range of emotions such as anger, guilt, sadness, and moderate to severe anxiety. Grief can often affect your life in a very negative way through depression, social isolation and even self-sabotage.
Grief and loss counselling will offer support, a better understanding of what you are experiencing emotionally, and coping strategies to assist you in dealing with grief in a productive manner.
